Our Story

Since opening in Macao’s Outer Harbour in 1995, Est. de Comidas Portuguesa Porto Exterior has been run by brothers Kin Fu and Kin Chong Fung.

Kin Fu began his culinary career in Macao’s restaurant industry and later served as an executive chef at a five-star hotel. He has received culinary awards, judged cooking competitions and hosted a food programme on Ou Mun Tin Toi, TDM’s Chinese-language radio service. Building on decades of Portuguese-cooking experience passed down by their father and skills shared by family elders, the brothers bring their own ideas to the table, blending Chinese and Western methods in Macanese Portuguese dishes.

For us, Macanese Portuguese cuisine is not simply Portuguese food brought to Macao. It is a distinctive cuisine shaped here over time by different cultures, family memories and eating traditions. Portuguese Chicken, African Chicken and Curry Crab are among the classics that reflect this meeting of influences.

Our lamb chops are charcoal-grilled by hand, while every familiar recipe is prepared with care and patience. We treasure the occasions shared around the table, and hope each dish lets us continue sharing the story of Macao’s Macanese Portuguese cuisine.
